What does the novice gardener do when it is time to decide what to plant? Since we didn't have knowledge and expertise, we chose things that we liked. One look at our backyard and it is obvious that we are fans of roses and hydrangea, but we also have other plants including boxwoods, coleus, day lillies, and several small trees. This is just a sample of the kinds of plants and hardware we have and how they fit into our garden (or not in some cases!).
