Knitting and Fiber Arts

The first book I bought that introduced me into the world of knitting was Stitch 'n' Bitch by Debbie Stoller. It has cute illustrations and is written in a snarky, sassy voice. This is not your grandma's knitting primer. The beginning chappers teach you the basics, and the end is dedicated solely to patterns and projects.

I have to confess that I've never read this book. I've heard great things about it though, and I know many people that have learned from this very books. The patterns are supposed to be beautiful, and the content is a little more conservative than Stitch N Bitch.
