Started a scarf for my soon-to-be neice's eleventh birthday. She's going through her self-proclaimed "punk rock" (read: Avril Lavinge) phase - so that basically translates to the hot pink and black striped scarf I'm working on. I hope I can finish in time. Her birthday is in two weeks. Time to get my knit on. |

| Been working on a handful of projects. I've gone on several compulsive shopping sprees for yarn. You'd be amazed at how quickly prices add up. I'm working on a simple striped scarf and still getting the hang of purling. It's so humbling to look around the Internet and see the truly gifted knitters and crocheters out there. I am immensely inspired by the strange crocheted creation Ms. Ana Voog dreams up. I hope to one day learn to freeform knit/crochet. |

 I finally finished my first scarf! The first time around I got impatient with all the holes and random imperfections... so this is actually a second-incarnation of my first scarf. I was too hesitant to destroy a beautiful expensive-ish yarn on my first go, so I stuck with simple run-of-the mill acrylic. I'm not crazy about the texture, but in the future I will spoil myself with nicer yarn. |
